Definitely need my moisturizer underneath. It did not dry out my skin, though I wouldn't say it was moisturizing either. I actually really like this format because it's so easy to actually put on a true 1/4 tsp. This is a pure liquid SPF, which I have never used before. Pros: New-age filters and an AWESOME PPD.La Roche-Posay Anthelios Shaka Fluid SPF 50+ (PPD 46): Overall score: 3/5 (TLDR: Burns eyes, causes break outs, but is dewy and offers great protection).I've never experienced anything like that before. Cons: This stings my eyes pretty badly :( It also would give me raised little pimples by the end of the day, but they were weird "pimples." They were typically gone by the next morning and I was ready to start fresh. No burns or tans for me! This also comes in a 100 mL tube for a good price, which is awesome. When I wore it under make-up, I felt made me look "dewy." It also kept me super protected on a beach vacation to Florida.

  • Pros: This did not dry out my skin at all and I didn't feel like I needed a moisturizer underneath it, especially during the summer.
  • My entire eyes (like my actual eyeballs and the eyelids/skin around them) are EXTREMELY sensitive. Somewhat acne prone and typically not very sensitive. I'm a very sweaty person in the summer heat though. Skin Type: Dry skin, especially around my eyes. I can't remember what I paid for these and some were hard to look up, so the prices are *estimates.* Let me know if you have any questions or need any clarifications. All of these SPFs have now been worn in spring/summer and fall/winter in the NYC area (hot/humid in the summer, cold/dry in the winter). In this first week or so, I also always measure out 1/4 tsp. When I test out a new sunscreen, I always wear that SPF for 3-7 days to figure out what it does for my skin. I decide to share with all of you, so perhaps if you're also on an SPF journey, you can decide what to try (or not to try) next. Just another sunscreen review for you all! I'm on a search for my every-day HG, and I've come super close, but don't feel like I'm quite there yet. Posts without a valid tag will be removed by Automoderator.
